I wondered whether it would be possible to make furniture completely defined by geometrical constructions.
I found various solutions and in fact it has no end.
My circle group consists of tables, chairs, and cupboards, each constructed from a single plate, all starting from a circle as the kernel.
With a simple Euclidian construction (using a ruler and compass) all the necessary design properties can be constructed (pictures 1-3).
Transformation of the circle design Ð by shortening the horizontal, vertical, or diagonal dimension Ð results in 3 other groups of the family (pictures 4-6)
Another series - a set of tables - starts with an ellipse as kernel (pictures 7,8,9).
